Health Assistance (GovCHA) offers FREE assistance, to Nevada
consumers, for health-related issues. the mission of GovCHA is
to protect patient's rights through information, education, and
advocacy.
Four Quality Assurance Specialists (QAS),
experts in their areas (Hospital/Provider Billing, Managed Care,
Medicare, Medicaid, Other Insurances, Social Programs, Uninsured and
Worker's Compensation), are available to advocate on behalf of the
Consumer.
Assistance may be in the way of
appeals for denial of benefits/services, hospital/provider billing
disputes, Worker's Compensation issues, insurance coverage, uninsured
in need of medical care or inability to pay for medical care.
GovCHA is also responsible for
coordinating External Reviews for benefits denied by MCO's (Managed Care
Organizations), HMO's (Health Maintenance Organizations), and other

Management Association (NvHIMA) is a component state association
