The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) recommends each person working in
a medical office demonstrate continuing education in their area.
All certifications by the MAB require continuing education units
(CEUs). The CEUs obtained to maintain your certification can be used to
prove to the OIG that you are in compliance.
Certified individuals must submit proof of membership and CEUs one month
prior to expiration of their credentials.
